Politics and power mix as Stanley Johnson, the PM’s father, is accused of sexual harassment

750,000 people between the ages of 16 and 74 were victims of sexual harassment as of March last year according to the Office for National Statistics - 618,000 of which were female (four times as many). People in power are no exception; be it as the perpetrator or abused. Whilst, unfortunately, the events are commonplace, the Prime Minister's father has been accused of committing the act.
When women gain the courage to come forward and speak out about their experiences, it causes a domino effect - knowing that they’re not alone. We can see this when Conservative MP Caroline Nokes, spoke out about Stanley Johnson, the PM’s father, who she accused of sexual harassment causing New Statesman journalist, Ailbhe Rea, to do the same.
