Amazon Prime Day 2023 is coming

Except it's called Amazon Prime Big Deals Day instead...!

Back when I was a consumer/trending reporter (memories) I used to write about deals for special events. Some were small (but important to me) such as National Coffee Day.

And some were Amazon Prime Day sales.

While there is something to be said about the corp itself, I have to admit that Prime Day has helped me out a number of times. Whether it’s been new slip-ons, electric toothbrushes, books or batteries, there’s always been a reason to hold out for the event.

So, as a way to build myself up to writing more regularly again, I decided to revisit my reporter roots and monitor the best deals in the lead-up to Amazon Prime Day 2023.

When is Amazon Prime Day 2023?

The mammoth event takes place between 10 - 11 October 2023. But the shopping spree event isn’t just a two-day event. There’s a lot happening in the lead-up and you’ve gotta be in it to win it.

Prime members can sign up for “invite-only” deals on select products which Amazon expects will sell out. Anyone who signs up for these ‘doorbuster deals’ can get exclusive prices on brands such as Blink, Sony, Philips and Jabra.

Amazon will select members who have signed up and will notify them ahead of 10 October with instructions on how to buy the item requested. You’ve got to buy it before Prime Big Deal Days.

A lucky bunch of members will be able to get their hands on the following deals, so long as they sign up ahead of time and are selected by the firm:

• 60% off Blink smart home security

• 50% off Sony Dolby Atmos/DTS:X Soundbar-HTX8500 2.1ch

• 46% off Philips 3000 Series Air Fryer

• 55% off Jabra Elite 7 Active True Wireless Earbuds

If you’re wondering what to expect, some of the most popular deals were from home goods, fashion, beauty and Amazon-branded devices, according to Amazon.
